Humanise Education: Introduction

The emergence of the new world has witnessed hundreds of issues such as violence, terrorism, war, famine, unemployment etc. A conflict has developed all over the world that even has affected our schools where students are victims of cyber bullying, racism, drug abuse, behavioural problems has been soaring uphill over the past decade. Though countries has this moral value education a little has been done to solve the issues. Navigating  through abstract concepts such as identity, community, difference, tolerance and freedom has become difficult and extremely challenging.

Renewed calls for national consistency and to build cohesive environment in schools has become a must today and schools are striving hard to develop ‘shared values’ that instill human as well as life skills in our children. Countries are beefing up their education system that influences and reflects human values that have been eroding slowly from our society. As educators we live in to aspire, to offer hope, aspiration and a clear set of values by which to live, yet are facing some of their biggest ever hurdles in protecting, guiding and empowering many children who don’t feel that they belong to a system that has their best interests at heart.

"Humanise Education“ is a global project, where educators collaborate, to recognize the need to develop social, cultural, physical and mental development through instilling 15 basic human values.
